Ultragrain® - The Future of Whole Grains, Today
When ConAgra Mills launched Ultragrain whole wheat flour in 2004, it began positively changing consumer perceptions about whole grains.
Combining whole wheat's goodness with the refined-flour taste and texture most mainstream consumers love, Ultragrain gave manufacturers
a unique, best-of-both-worlds solution for formulating more nutritious products.
Today, Ultragrain, is adding whole grain nutrition to everything from breads and crackers, to pastas, breakfast cereals, cookies and more. Eagle Mills and Healthy Choice Flour with Ultragrain have received the Golden Shopping Cart of the Year award honoring the best new product of 2006. Click here to read more.
Manufacturers have leveraged Ultragrain to deliver millions of whole grain servings to consumers at home, at restaurants, and at schools. The ConAgra Mills team is ready to assist you with formulating with whole grains. You can reach our technical service team at 402-595-4282.
Ultragrain Products in Schools
Parents today want to know their kids eat great, nutritious foods at school. The good news is that schools today can choose from a variety of
foods made with Ultragrain, and a growing number of America's school cafeterias feature Ultragrain powered products. In fact, in 2006, more
than 3,000 school districts are offering Ultragrain products. That's more than 40 million servings of whole grains! See some of the many products
that contain Ultragrain here.
Product Benefits
Ultragrain is unique. It is made from a proprietary variety of Platte wheat, specially grown to have a sweeter, milder
taste and lighter color than conventional wheat. ConAgra Mills then grinds this whole wheat with a patent-pending
milling technology that maintains the flour's milder taste and develops the smooth texture, while preserving the fiber,
antioxidants, phytonutrients and other essential vitamins and minerals found in the whole wheat bran and germ—the very
things missing in refined flours.
