Primary and secondary schools in the U.S. spend $7.2 billion on onsite meals each year. ConAgra Mills, developed the SuperKids Ultragrain Sampling Program to provide school nutrition directors with additional options for increasing whole grain consumption in their schools. In 2005, tests with 350 first to sixth grader students in Hopkins, Minnesota showed that elementary students consumed pizza and other foods made with Ultragrain at the same level as those same products made with refined, white flour.
